Riya Garg is a Master’s candidate at the Yale Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, where she is focusing on quantitative analysis, public policy, and finance. She has more than four years of experience in social sector consulting, where she worked with non-profits and governments to promote quality education, gender equity, and solutions to other issues.
Riya is passionate about teaching and has used her free time to tutor, guide, and mentor dozens of students through different forms — independently, as part of NGOs, and through LinkedIn. She has also co-founded Career in Development, a web platform that guides young professionals in India in building careers in the development sector by providing structured and comprehensive information.
Outside of work, Riya enjoys dancing to Bollywood songs and reads avidly. She also tries to acquire new talents like playing the keyboard and tennis.
